OUR REPUTATION SPEAKS FOR US
What will happen right after we take on your roofing project?
THE PERFECT PROCESS
THIS IS OUR STEP BY STEP when building a roof:
1. DETERMINE THE LOCATION AND MARK THE PROPERTY.
Beheading the adjuster meeting a Mid Atlantic Roofing yard sign will be installed and will remain throughout your roof installation, to make sure all employees are 100% sure about the property we will be working on, this is crucial for delivery drivers and our crews/installers and other suppliers that your roof installation or repair is on its way.
2. REVIEW MATERIALS / ASSESSMENT PROCESS.
The project’s roof manager will confirm your color, brand and shingle model selection, discuss possible enhancements, introduce potential upgrades, determine the location for our dumpsters to be place, and review all property cleaning tasks and safety rules before we start.
3. PRE-INSTALLATION.
We will deliver your supplies (unless otherwise specified) on the driveway of your garage. Mid-Atlantic Roofing Master Certified Installer controls the whole process to ensure compliance with our roofing system.
4. WORKPLACE PREP.
Prior to removing an existing roof (if applicable), we will cover your landscaping, pool and/or decking; strip and remove old shingles, felt paper, valley, drying edge, vents, rubber boots, etc.
5. FOUNDATION.
After removing the old shingles and underlayment, the property wood decking will be exposed, that’s when we thoroughly examine the wood, looking for any rotten wood to report to the property owner, and replace it. After replacing bad wood, we will move unto cleaning and installing the underlayment synthetic paper, that is the base of your Roof System, it is horizontally mounted from one end of the gable to the other end and is never cut short.
6. SHIELD
The Ice and Water Shield is a modified self-adhering and self-healing product designed to protect critical areas from water penetration by wind-powered rain and ice dam backup. In reality, it swells up and revolves around the nails; it is mounted against external chimneys and all roof valleys. On all pipe flashing and vent valves, new rubber boots are installed.
7. SHIELD PLUS
The regular 3-tab starter row is easy for high winds to untie and seal off the roof. We therefore upgrade to a Starter Strip free of charge: this is key to improved wind efficiency.
8. PROPER INSTALLATION
The key to a successful Roof System is proper nailing. In compliance with manufacturer instructions and code specifications, we mount preselected shingles, and correctly nail every shingle roof structure. Incorrect installation of nails will lead to a poor roof performance.
9. KEEPING YOU SAFE
During the roofing process, our roof installers will continue cleaning the waste. Throughout the entire roof building, we store all debris in our dumpster. We will also verify the surroundings with powerful magnets to locate nails on the property perimeter.
THE UPGRADES
The proper ventilation of a roof will contribute to durability of the shingles, while inadequate ventilation will reduce life expectancy. Warranties from suppliers are invalid if the roof is not ventilated properly. The insurance company is not responsible for improvements, and that is an extra expense.
